DTI flame retardant study inflames DETR

Flame retardants do not pose significant risks to health or the environment, according to a report sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).1 But the report is understood to have angered the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions (DETR) because its conclusions pre-judge its own risk assessments of three brominated flame retardants.
