Domestic electricity tariffs "encourage profligacy", says ACE

The Association for the Conservation of Energy (ACE) has accused electricity supply companies of "encouraging profligacy" by offering reduced rates to consumers who use above-average quantities of electricity. Scottish Hydro-Electric has also come under fire for offering air miles linked to the amount of energy consumed.
