ISO14001 certificates predicted to reach 30,000 next year

Around 10,000 certificates have now been issued world-wide to the international environmental management standard ISO14001 - and the British Standards Institution (BSI) is predicting that the figure will rise to around 30,000 by next year. Meanwhile, concerns over compatibility with the ISO9000 series on quality management, which threatened to force an early review of ISO14001, have been largely resolved, paving the way to a smoother revision of the standard.
