Call for national strategy to develop markets for recyclate
Inherent price instability is the key barrier to increasing the use of secondary materials retrieved from household waste, according to a review group chaired by the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions (DETR). 1 Its report calls for a new body to devise a national strategy for developing new uses for recycled goods and materials.
