ASA slips up in ruling against crypto claim

A company which promoted a water purification device by claiming that the presence of cryptosporidium in tap water could cause severe illness has been told not to repeat the claim by the Advertising Standards Authority. Not for the first time, however, the ASA can be faulted for its judgment.
