DETR releases £12.9 million for contaminated land clean-ups

The Government has released £12.9 million for work on 127 contaminated sites, junior Environment Minister Alan Meale announced in a parliamentary answer in June. 1 He also revealed that a new programme for demonstrating remediation technologies is now up and running.
