Anglian fined £14,000 for bathing water pollution
Breaches of faecal coliform limits at a Lowestoft beach at the start of last year's bathing season led to a £14,000 fine for Anglian Water in June. The incident, which appears to have been caused by a half-open valve, wrecked hopes of achieving Blue Flag status at two other beaches.
