Paper firm fined for effluent breaches

Activecraft Thompsons Board Mills appeared before Penrith magistrates on 21 May to plead guilty to six charges of polluting a Cumbrian watercourse with trade effluent. Thompsons was fined £10,000 and ordered to pay costs of £2,500.
