L'Oreal fined for operating unauthorised IPC process

Major cosmetics manufacturer L'Oreal has been fined £5,000 after operating a prescribed process for more than four years without an integrated pollution control (IPC) authorisation. The company also repeatedly failed to comply with the Environment Agency's requests for key information to support its belated IPC application.
