Energy policy - spot the joined-up thinking

Over the years, the Department of Trade and Industry has not always been seen as the environment's best friend. It has, however, been doing valuable work on the environmental front for some time, with current initiatives including plans for a Departmental sustainable development strategy, work on a next generation sustainability management standard, and a fair number of projects to promote waste minimisation in industry.
