Oil pollution fines for Nestle, BOC

Two major companies were given sizeable fines in August for causing oil pollution of watercourses. Food manufacturer Nestle (UK) was fined £15,000 after a chain of events led to serious pollution of the Grand Union Canal in Middlesex, and industrial gas supplier BOC was fined £10,000 for an incident in Cheshire.
