Report highlights PCB sealant risks

Building sealants used in the 1960s and 1970s may be a "major source" of individuals' exposure to PCBs, according to a report commissioned by the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions (DETR). However, there are no estimates of the amounts of PCBs used in sealants in the UK, and very few measurements of levels in and around buildings.
