Plans to incinerate the stockpile of waste from the BSE cattle cull are at last taking shape, with Government contracts for four big plants burning meat and bone meal (MBM) now in place. Each appears to have passed planning hurdles without difficulty - in one case because incineration counts as "permitted development."
