Camelford: Questions still unanswered after eleven years

A long-awaited study of health effects suffered by residents affected by the 1988 Camelford water pollution incident was published in September. 1 The research, by Dr Paul Altmann and colleagues, investigated claims by 55 individuals that they had suffered long-lasting mental impairment after consuming water supplied by the former South West Water Authority (SWWA) containing high levels of aluminium and other metals.
