Northern Ireland: complacency over non-compliance

An Environmental Assistance conference was held in Craigavon in October in response to concern about aluminium in drinking water in Northern Ireland. The meeting considered the relationship between exposure to the metal via drinking water and Alzheimer's disease (see box ), and called for action to end breaches of regulatory standards.
