Agency calls for "no compromise" position on water investment

The battle of words between the Environment Agency and water industry regulator Ofwat in the current review of water industry investment is heating up. The Agency is asking its regional advisory committees to reject the idea of a "reasonable compromise" between environmental improvements and Ofwat's proposed price cuts. Meanwhile, wildlife bodies are pressing Ministers to ensure that the industry invests to protect special sites.
