Cattle cull incinerator planned for Ulster

The animal rendering sector's bid to burn waste from the Government's Over Thirty Month Scheme (OTMS) cattle cull has taken a step forward, with a planning application for a large meat and bone meal (MBM) incinerator in Northern Ireland. The project may prove to be an important test of the new pollution control regime introduced in the province in March.
