MPs bash Agency over power station emission limits
The House of Commons Trade and Industry Committee has urged the Environment Agency to scrap plans to tighten emission limits on coal-fired power stations.1 It has accepted industry claims that the limits would hasten the demise of the UK coal industry - a view disputed by the Agency - but attacked the generators for failing to invest more heavily in flue gas desulphurisation (FGD).
