Further "fine tuning" of special waste regime

The Government has proposed several changes to the regulation of "special" waste, just 18 months after the previous changes. The proposals include a relaxation of the rules on carriers' collection rounds as well as new exemptions from waste management licensing for recycling. Meanwhile, the environment agencies will soon consult on their long-awaited guidance on the regime.
