Terry Adams Ltd, a waste management subsidiary of South West Water, has funded a feasibility study into a district heating scheme to be fuelled by landfill gas. Around 1.7MW of heat is available from the existing landfill gas engines at the Yanley site. The study, funded with landfill tax credits, concludes that hot water could be piped to domestic and commercial properties in Bristol.
