Slow progress on green accounts

A report by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has shown that limited progress has been made in developing the UK's environmental accounts.1 Water pollution accounts are still a year off, and only modest refinements have been made to the pilot air pollution accounts. A first stab has been made at measuring the UK economy's impact on international flows of materials.
