DETR changes tack on control of industrial odours

A new approach to the control of odours from industrial processes has been put forward by the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions (DETR) in an attempt to settle a long-standing dispute over an animal rendering process in Devon. The proposals will have implications for other industries regulated under the local air pollution control regime.
