Drinking water improves despite discolouration incidents

Drinking water quality in England and Wales showed a further improvement last year, according to the eighth annual report of the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI). 1 Compliance with standards rose to 99.75%, but concerns remain over breaches of the standard for iron and future compliance with tighter lead limits.
