"Grey list" pollutant rules for Scotland

Regulations setting water quality standards for 20 dangerous substances came into force in Scotland on 1 July. 1 The substances, which are on the EC's "grey list", are mostly pesticides, biocides and chemical intermediates. Similar rules took effect in England and Wales in March (ENDS Report 278, p 37 ).
