PCBs in indoor air are major source of human intakes

A study of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in indoor air in Birmingham has concluded that inhalation is a major contributor to total human intakes of the chemicals. 1 The findings may force a reappraisal of current official evaluations of the safety of PCB exposures which assume that the diet is the dominant source of the chemicals.
