B&Q seeks greater transparency in supply chains

B&Q staged a glitzy presentation to more than 1,500 of its global suppliers, employees and local authority contacts in October to announce that suppliers will need to demonstrate a full understanding of the life-cycle environmental impacts of their products by 2000. Suppliers were also urged to assist in the development of the DIY giant's first sustainability strategy.
