WTO rules against US in shrimp row

The World Trade Organisation (WTO) has ruled against the USA in a trade dispute over measures to protect endangered sea turtles. The decision will make it more difficult for countries to use trade sanctions to protect endangered species. But the ruling upheld the right of third parties to make submissions to dispute panels and clarified trade rules relating to natural resources and conservation.
