CBI calls for risk assessment in place of "prescriptive" law

A report from the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has called for risk assessment principles to be incorporated in all environmental legislation, along with a shift in the culture of the Environment Agencies towards advising businesses. 1 The CBI claims to have majority support for its proposals from its members - but they are based on a survey to which just 60 companies responded.
