Firms rush to ISO14001 - but Magnox drops out
The number of UK firms winning certification to the international environmental management standard ISO14001 increased sharply at the end of 1996 - but uptake of the EC eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS) remains painfully slow. Meanwhile, Magnox Electric has become the first major firm not to renew its certificates.
