Sustainable development advisors take Government to task
The two high-level bodies appointed by the Government in 1994 to advise on its sustainable development strategy both published reports in January which made searing criticisms of its policies. The Government was panned for its inertia over greening public procurement, taxes and subsidies, and taken to task over other policies as diverse as transport, agriculture, housing land and air quality.
