Greenhouse emissions neglected by semiconductor industry
Semiconductor manufacturers in the UK are not measuring their emissions - and in some cases even their consumption - of extremely powerful fluorinated greenhouse gases because there is no legal duty on them to do so. In contrast, US producers have signed an agreement committing them to measure their emissions and work to reduce them.
