Second waste fire leads to £15,000 fine for ReChem
Hazardous waste incineration business ReChem International has been fined £15,000 for a fire and explosion in a consignment of reactive waste at its Pontypool site - the second such incident in less than a year. The Environment Agency has now barred the company from receiving such wastes.
