Labour attacks DTI "sabotage" of air quality regulations

The Government has published its air quality strategy setting out air quality objectives to be achieved throughout the UK by 2005.1 But regulations to implement the strategy have been delayed, along with guidance to local authorities - prompting the Labour Party to accuse the Department of Trade and Industry of "sabotage". Labour has suggested that it may significantly revise the strategy's objectives.
