DoE finds one-third more household waste

UK households produce a third more waste than was previously believed, according to new research soon to be published by the Government and the Environment Agency. Coupled with evidence that waste arisings are steadily increasing, the news puts the Government's target to recycle 25% of household waste by 2000 even further out of reach.
