  • Energy Power Resources has completed financial closure for its £21 million 10MW biomass plant in Fife, Scotland. Construction of the plant, which will consume 110,000 tonnes a year of chicken litter, should begin by September. The company is also close to finalising contracts for the UK's first straw-fired power station at Ely in Cambridgeshire. The £60 million plant will use 200,000 tonnes of straw a year.
