  • A major river pollution incident was averted in June when staff working for the consortium BBTA, which was building the Puddletown bypass in Dorset, righted an overturned diesel tanker leaking fuel into a nearby river. The contractor, which has been praised by the Environment Agency, also used its spill control equipment to absorb the oil.
