Agency and South West Water in discharge consent bust-up

The Environment Agency and South West Water are at loggerheads over the need for UV treatment of a sewage effluent discharge in Devon. The company has accused the Agency of moving the goal-posts on its treatment requirements and has appealed to the Secretary of State. It has also appealed against limits on dangerous substances over which it says it has limited control.
