Products covered by new proposal on dangerous substances in water

A new step in the 20-year debate about the EC's role in regulating dangerous substances in water has been taken by the European Commission. A draft proposal has emerged from Brussels which would revitalise the Commission's role in identifying priority substances and proposing discharge limits and environmental quality standards for them. And water pollution from products would be addressed for the first time.
