BNFL pays £57,000 for massive fish kill

British Nuclear Fuels has been fined £32,500 over a leak of caustic soda from its Sellafield works which killed 15,000 fish. The 375-gallon leak was caused by a series of management failures during refurbishment of the site's tank farm.
