Agency report completes Coalite dioxin jigsaw
Overwhelming evidence linking an incinerator at Coalite Chemicals' works in Derbyshire with dioxin contamination of nearby farms is set out in the Environment Agency's long-awaited reports on the case.1 Most damagingly, they reveal that when HM Inspectorate of Pollution (HMIP) carried out emission tests on the plant, most of the waste feedstock was replaced with clean support fuel.
