Waste minimisation lessons from Dee project

Annual savings of £4.5 million have been made by 13 companies which participated in a waste minimisation project in the river Dee catchment in north Wales and Cheshire. The scheme's success owed much to a collaborative approach - but its co-ordinators have also warned that company downsizing and restructuring may make such projects more difficult to replicate.
