North Sea agreement on priority list of chemicals

An initial 15-point priority list of hazardous substances to be controlled under agreements to protect the North Sea was finalised in October. The list includes several groups of compounds with suspected endocrine-disrupting properties, and others are likely to be added once a screening mechanism is agreed in about a year's time.
