Breweries and bottle producers tussle over packaging plans
Brewers are planning to pay for bottle collections from pubs to satisfy their recycling obligations under the packaging regulations. But their plans appear to be in conflict with the Glaspak scheme, proposed by eight bottle and jar producers, which would become the principal means of demonstrating compliance with the legislation.
