Environment advisors urge action on targets, taxes and transport
The second report of the Government's Panel on Sustainable Development records a patchy response to the priorities it set last year.1 The Government is particularly criticised for failing to set targets for sustainable development and procrastinating over a transport strategy. The report also calls for more work to develop national environmental accounts - and a strategy on biotechnology to address wider impacts and liability.
