Denmark takes lead in curbs on oestrogenic chemicals
Denmark has become the first European country to propose restrictions on two groups of chemicals of concern because of their oestrogenic effects. The Ministry of Environment and Energy is planning to ban alkyl phenols before 2000 and is examining the possibility of phasing out phthalates.
