Study highlights potential CO<SUB>2</SUB> savings from housing

Up to 40% of the carbon dioxide emissions arising from domestic energy consumption could be avoided using widely available energy efficiency measures, according to a study by the Building Research Establishment (BRE).1 Most or all of the potential savings were found to be "cost-effective" at current energy prices.
