Dundee council drags feet as incinerator revelations pile up

Dundee District Council has yet to begin an "urgent" inquiry promised last November into high emissions and allegations of poor combustion at its Baldovie incinerator. Meanwhile, further evidence of severe breaches of emission limits has come to light - but while HM Industrial Pollution Inspectorate (HMIPI) has ordered the council to correct serious defects in the plant's monitoring equipment, it is taking no action to enforce compliance with the limits.
