DoE announces trial areas for air quality management

The Department of the Environment (DoE) has announced 14 trial areas to test new arrangements for local air quality management. However, proposals for its overall air quality strategy have been delayed until the summer. Meanwhile, the Department of Transport (DTp) has announced plans to empower local authorities to carry out vehicle emissions tests and regulate emissions from stationary vehicles.
