DTp continues to procrastinate over anti-pollution salvage tugs

For the third time in less than three years, a report commissioned by the Government has recommended the provision of five powerful salvage tugs to help prevent oil pollution disasters around the UK coast. But Transport Ministers have put off a response until an official inquiry into the Sea Empress disaster has been completed - and are continuing to distort the reports' recommendations in an effort to cover their own embarrassment over the disaster.
