Danes cleared to keep PCP ban despite conflict with EC rules
For the second time in two years, the European Commission has authorised a Member State to retain domestic environmental legislation which is stricter than EC law, widening a crack in the integrity of the internal market. The beneficiary in this case is Denmark, which has been allowed to maintain an effective ban on pentachlorophenol (PCP).
